Another Miss Oh (Seo Hyun-jin • Eric Mun, Korean Drama 2016) #kdrama #asiandrama #anothermissoh

It’s a nice story of mistaken identity, a series of seeing the future, engraved in the mind as memories, already written.

The plot may be absurd, but it conveys this – how would you live your life if you knew you only have a few months to live? Would you live the same way you did? Would you change the course of things if you knew the outcome of what you’ve said and done? Or would you choose to live without regrets and be happy with whatever makes your heart and life more wonderful and beautiful? Would you be more open and honest with yourself and others? Would you allow petty things to consume you, or would you let the small things slide, letting go of what doesn’t make sense in your life?

“Another Miss Oh” may be the usual KDrama journey of loving and being loved, but it raises the questions that most of us can’t or won’t answer for ourselves – because of the circumstances or the people that surround us, the pride that consumes us, the doubt that nags us, the uncertainty that leaves us feeling undeserving – even when we are in a place where happiness is within reach.

Sometimes it takes a leap of faith to do what makes you happy, and courage when you take that leap with someone else. But if you are lucky enough to recognize and be with that special someone, it shouldn’t take unusual Deja vu, visions or morbid thoughts – only that first step towards that special person. There’s no other way but that.
