Several candidates are carrying out survival missions on Mnet’s TV program [PENTAGON MAKER] to debut as the final members of Cube Entertainment’s newest boygroup “PENTAGON”. The participants are talented, excelling at not only singing and dancing, but also composing, wording, and producing. Divided into two teams, Team Hui with Hui, Yeo One, Yuto, Kino, and Woo Seok and Team Jin Ho with Jin Ho, Hong Seok, E’dawn, Shin Won and Yan An, the boys had to collaborate with Korea’s top hiphop musicians Tiger JK and Dok2 for their performance missions. These stages received great attention from the viewers and the mission tracks became available for streaming.

  17. came here just to see juhyeon from lightsum but icb i'm tearing up again coz i remember watching pentagon maker and that show really made me cry every episode. 🤧🤧 well those tears were worth it coz they debuted as 10 members!! although right now you know, one of their member left the group. i sometimes miss ot10 but i'm happy where he is right now. as long as he is happy in his life <3

  26. Yeo One. I will start by addressing your musicality. Your voice is a wonder and phenomenon unlike any I’ve ever heard. I know you are very creative and specific about your lyrics, and I wanted to comment on how poetic you are when it comes to creating them. Your voice is enchanting and elegant as hearing the music in a fairy tale. It is so wistful and it easy to get lost in the grace of it. It has such a magical and warming effect on every Pentagon song that I hear and gives them all so much life. You are so passionate about signing and a piece of your heart is incorporated into each line that you sing. All the while, your dancing is classy and charming. It is so evident how much effort you put into mastering your choreographies but when you’re on stage, it just looks like second nature to you. You place so much emphasis on each of your movements to make sure that your Universe can take in each one. You are very articulate and expressive as well. Your facial expressions completely guide your dancing as well and you are incredibly skilled with infusing your emotion into your body movements. It is sincerely a gift getting to watch you waltz across the stage with undeniable precision and self-expression all wove together into one. In all, you are one of the most creative artists that I’ve known, You really have such a way with words and that has had such a grand impact on music today. There is nobody who could replicate your sound or the different perspective that you have on music. I can’t thank you enough for pursuing the musical side of yourself and opening that up for the world to indulge in and learn from. At the same time that I love your musical side, I love your personality as well. I love that at the same time that you are easygoing and professional, you also set the mood in any situation as well! You are very poised and grounded, and this was a trait of yours that was admirable to me very early on. You are collected and have a very level-head, which I believe leads you to become decisive. However, you are also very fun-loving and know how to have a great time! You are very goofy and your sense of humor is so unique to you . I know that nobody appreciates these qualities more than your members. From the very beginning of your journey, you’ve believed in your members and seen this potential in them that they don’t always see themselves. You always strive to find success as a team and you stress that working together is the only way you find achieve your dreams. In this, you’ve encouraged them to be so loving towards each other and to have faith in their own abilities.I also know that you are very sentimental, and you cherish the moments that you spend with your members.   27. Hongseok. I want to first talk about your musicality, more specifically your voice. You have one of the sweetest voices I’ve ever heard. There is a softness and a subtlety to your voice that gives it so much character and definition. You are an incredibly passionate singer as well. I can see it in your eyes and on your face that you are giving life to every word that you are singing. You can only go so far with training your voice and focusing on technique, but you really lose yourself to your voice when you sing. You are a stylistic genius, and have the ability to bring so much vibrancy to each of your lines. When you sing, you look so vulnerable, and the delicacy of your voice allows for you to communicate how you feel with your audience. It is clear you have a natural voice that was meant to touch hearts everywhere. As well as being an awe-inspiring singer, you are a talented and free dancer. You master each Pentagon choreography flawlessly. Your movements are loose, yet concrete, and it allows so much of your own personal expression to be infused with your movement. You effortlessly connect your mind to your body, and whatever concept you present is reflected in the way that you move. You make each performance unforgettable by just giving way to the music and letting your body carry you through the song. Your spontaneous and sudden bursts of love shine through when you gift your Universe with the surprises that you leave for us through your dances. You engulf the stage with your power and capture the mood of any genre with your versatility as a dancer. Overall, what you bring cannot be brought by another artist, and you have changed music so much. You have redefined what it means to have stage presence and have charmed the hearts of countless by possessing such newness in your own. You have already contributed so much to Pentagon’s legacy, and the potential music has on the world will continue to expand so long as you continue to explore it. As much as I love the music that lives within you, I love your personality as well. One of the first qualities that I recognized in you was your humor.You’re witty, clever, goofy, and even an expert at teasing your members! You were really meant to be on this Earth encouraging laughter in those around you. I also love how you take care of yourself. You always look out for your well-being and always seem to respect what your body needs. I know that nobody is healed from being around you quite like your members. I know that you’ve known them for so long, and because of this, you know them on a deeper level than most people. When they are with you, it’s like they can forget all else around them and exist in pure happiness with you. Some of their brightest days have come from the times they spent with you; remembering what it feels like to really enjoy the company of your loved ones. You always tease your members, which is helpful in itself because it teaches them not to take themselves too seriously. In another way, it must warm their hearts that somebody is looking after them enough to be familiar with how they act and think. There are parts of them that only you know, that even Universe or maybe even others are not aware of. You remind your members to take a moment and ensure that they are okay as well. Without you, they might not be as able-bodied as they are now. You have helped them find the love in themselves and have brought them closer together. You are their brother and a family member that they know they can always rely on. They are who they are and where they are today because of you. You help them to recognize their fullest potential every day, and they know that they can go wherever they aspire to because you believe in them. They couldn't get the love that you give them anywhere else. Thank you so much for changing the lives of your members forever and helping them to become the best versions of themselves imaginable. I want to personally thank your parents and family for raising you and leading you to become the hardworking and dedicated man that you are today. I know that you likely already know this, but it feels right to state that it is important to remember that your family is always going to be there for you. There will be times in life when you feel lost, but you can lean on your loved ones who know you better than anybody else in this world. We feel safe with you and it is so relieving to spend time with you. You help our stress to go away and we are so relaxed when we get to be around you. Similarly to with your members, you also help us to look after our health. You eagerly share your tips with your fans, which really lets us know how much you appreciate us. We are learning what rewards come from caring for ourselves, and this can be easy to forget, again, especially because of the pandemic leaving everybody feeling tense. It is very refreshing getting to spend time with somebody who wants his fans to be the healthiest versions of themselves possible. Thank you so much for trusting us to be the ones that you give your heart to. We know so much about you and you have been so open with us. It is an honor to be the ones that you place this trust with. We will always try to give back all that you have given us, though it seems you’ve given us more than we could ever imagine. I know you have been through a lot, both professionally and personally. The road with Pentagon hasn’t been easy, I know, and you also have had to deal with quite a bit on your own. All that I can do though, on behalf of all of your loved ones, is tell you that we are so proud of you for making it past all of these hardships to be where you are today. The strength that you have is acquired; something you’ve had to work at to get rather than just naturally having. You have built up so much resilience after going through what you have, and I know that you become more intelligent after doing so. You have proven that you can tackle whatever life throws at you in the future, and you are teaching us that we can do the same as well. Watching you get to where you are today and taking after how you choose to approach your struggles has been nothing short of inspirational.   30. Hui my words are going to sound meaningless up against how I really feel about you so I'm trying my best explain how much I genuinely mean this. I haven't been a Pentagon for very long so I still have so much to learn about the group! However, I've spent enough time to know how much you've changed my perspective on every outlook on life. I've never seen an idol quite like you. First off, I had the luxury of watching a few of your performances from 'Breakers' which was my first time really getting to see you perform by yourself. I didn't realize how beautiful your voice is. You have a range and an ability to sing that I haven't seen in a long time, and on top of that, you are an expert dancer. The most impressive part of all of this is that you have outstanding breath control. You are able to furiously dance while still belting perfect notes and that is not a skill that very many people have. You re born to perform and I can't believe I am so fortunate to be moved by such a unique and even rare performance execution. Next, I want to talk about the emotions that come out when you see. During 'Breakers,' I learned a lot about you just from how you present yourself on stage and I have been absolutely moved by the side of you that you shared on stage. I was moved to tears seeing all of the emotions you've felt in your years as an idol come out on the stage and I was speechless. It's not often that performers have the effect on me, but everything you've felt I could feel simply because you are an outstanding and authentic performer. As I said before, I don't even know that much about Pentagon yet and I can't wait to learn more, but I already feel as if I have an understanding of you because of your incredible performances. You have a voice of gold; within it existing strength, rawness, sincerity, emotion, and power of the rarest kind. On top of this you are a sensational dancer with so much intensity, yet so much control of every movement. This is not just your 'Breakers' performances, but every time you hit the stage you have this charisma and charm that tells a story and proves you are meant to be performing,. For connecting me to music and life in a way that I never have before, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so proud of everything that you've done in your years as in idol, whether that be individually, with Pentagon, or with TRIPLE H. I have to thank you for supporting all of your members and being their light when they didn’t have one. It is indescribably difficult to blend so many personalities into one, but not only have you brought them together, but you are one of the closest families I’ve ever know. They will grow and evolve into the people they were meant to be because of your unconditional love and support. You have changed their lives in more ways than any of us can even explain, and we are beyond grateful for that.   34. Yuto. I watched an interview of you before the announcement of your “Daisy” comeback, and it happened to be one of the most raw and honest content I’d ever seen. I wasn’t expecting to see you so blunt and even worried about your future because I’d always known Pentagon as such an upbeat and peppy group. It turns out, I didn’t know the reality of the situation that you were all were living on and I didn’t know of the struggles that you’ve faced. The way in which you were answering the questions had me completely re-thinking what I thought about you before. You were so honest and real about the worries and concerns that you had about your position as an idol in Pentagon that I had no idea about prior to this year. I instantly felt this maturity and desperation for success that represented your character just from this one interview alone. Just from this, I respected you so much more. I had this new love and appreciation for you and all that you work for, not only as an idol but as Yuto. When I watched you afterwards, I read all of your performances differently and could really understand what performing actually means to you. You have, without a doubt, one of the most versatile voices I’ve known just from this element of your voice alone. Regardless of if the song is slower and more emotional, or fast-paced and exciting, there is always this rawness and power behind each of your lines and it creates this signature sound that everyone has become familiar with. Not only can you rap, but you can do so while infusing some vocal components with is as well. Your voice is clear, controlled, and always has so much passion behind it. I anticipate hearing how you will make each song your own and establish such a diverse musical atmosphere for Pentagon. I’ve always seen you as a person who tends to be laid-back and relaxed, but when you’re dancing on stage you harness more energy than ever before. You dance each move with so much vibrancy and life, and you have the ability to completely set the mood for each performance. Your dancing style is just pure art and reflects your effort and desire to put on a perfect stage every time. Not only do you have accuracy and precision, but you execute each move fully through your own expression. I know that you have so much to offer to Universe and when you get on the stage, you share with us your whole heart. It is an honor to be able to get to watch you and be a part of your story as an artist. Before I got to know how mature and professional you were, I always knew you as someone who was constantly making your members laugh. Whether it’s just you making small gestures to the camera or trying to tell a joke, I always have a smile on my face when I’m spending time with you at the very least. Given how much you and your members have been through, making them laugh is easily one of the biggest reasons they’ve been able to keep going. I always say that laughter is one of the best gifts you can give someone, especially in your position as an idol, and you do it effortlessly. You make so many people happy and there are Universe that claim you as the source of their positivity. I think that you reflect off of the mood of your members and you respond to how their feeling very well. You’re always there to have such a meaningful and fun time, but when they’re down, you share hard times with them as well. Because of this, I think that you are easily one of the most humble and respectable people I’ve come to know. You are so grateful for every opportunity you get and just for being able to create music and spend time with your Universe. You don’t take anything for granted and you speak so highly and authentically about your experiences. Universe never have to guess how you’re feeling because you’re always so transparent and communicate with us often. You don’t even have to share with us as much as you do, but I know that you love us because you talk with us even during some of your hardships. Although we might worry, you still tell us what’s happening and we feel so close to you at all times. As I mentioned before, you are extremely professional and poised which is not always an easy way to present yourself. You are so kind to all that you come in contact with and you leave every person who knows you feeling appreciated and honored to spend time with you. Pentagon is full of some of the most hardworking, loyal, and generous people ever, and you have been there to help each member become this way. You’ve done more than even imaginable for he group as a whole, but it’s in the way that you’ve touched each of their hearts that is beautiful and indescribable. You’ve been there through some of their darkest moments and greatest achievements. You are a place of comfort, safety, and love. You’ve always been there to remind them of their dreams and helped them all achieve them. You are simply the greatest family member and friend a person could ever have. Even the smallest of actions that you might not pay any mind to go a long way for so many Universe across the world. We want to repay your hard work and dedication with our undying support.   35. Angel Kino. It was very unique and unexpected how I fell in love with each member of Pentagon but I have never felt the way about somebody that I’ve felt about you. I’ve been a K-Pop fan for almost a decade and I’ve come to know so many different people, but I’ve learned so much from you when I least expected to. Your voice completely warms my heart and fills my soul with love and passion. There is so much emotion and feeling behind every single word that you sing. Your voice just glides right into every track and every cover you’ve ever done. What I particularly love about your vocal ability is that rather than singing about a concept or story, your voice becomes the story. The heights and places that your voice take your Universe is limitless and I feel as if I can empathize with everything that you’re going through because of how you express it with your voice. Every note sounds like an urgency to share your heart with us and you do so effortlessly every single time. I know that you work hard and you always want your Universe to believe in your music. You never fail to invite us into your heart and use your voice as a way to prove to us that you trust us wholeheartedly. I know that you’ve been dancing since you were very little, so it is obvious that you are skilled and a professional in this area. I don’t have to say that your dancing has caught the attention of countless people across the world, including myself. Since I’ve gotten the chance to focus only on you, I’ve found that my words have failed me more and more to explain what I’m seeing to the point where I now, just have no words. I am completely speechless. Often, I have to stop what I’m watching and attempt to process what I have just seen though I never really am able to. I know that from experience because you have been completely taking my breath and words away with each performance. I’ve never seen anybody move the way that you can, and I likely never will. You capture and can say so much with just your body alone. You combine your love for your Universe and your calling to dance to light up the stage and communicate with your movements. Just your gaze and facial expressions alone are so impactful when you’re dancing. You are an all-around ace when it comes to performing and it’s clear that you are a natural-born dancer. You were meant to be up on stage touching hearts and taking the breath away of so many people. Not many people end up doing what they want to do as a profession, but it only seems like fate that you’ve become the musician that you are today. The relationship that you have with your members is beyond anything I can understand. I learned very quickly that you have this unbreakable respect for them and that is the most important value to have when interacting with another person in anyway. In just a short matter of time I was able to pick up on how much you love your members and allow yourself to be whatever they need you to be. One of my favorite parts about you is how you never miss an opportunity to encourage them to speak up, make decisions for themselves, or share their talents. You always see the best in them and are their voice when they don’t have one. I can tell that you pay close attention to them when they’re speaking or when there is something they’re determined to achieve. Because of this, there’s never been a doubt that you’ve always strongly cared about them as much as you possibly can. The dynamic between Pentagon therefore is more than just a group, but a family of brothers. You bring the members closer together and are undoubtedly the one of the biggest reasons why all of you have been able to overcome your hardships together. Universe have watched all of the members grow over the years because of your guidance and dependency. I simply love how how you see other people and the way that you trust and understand them is truly a gift. Sometimes it’s hard to find the people you can really give your heart to and you’ve done that and urge Universe to find that same beauty in life. I work so hard every day to be to my friends and family what you are to yours. You are truly my role model in this regard and we can’t thank you enough for always just being there for the people that love you and who you love.   39. Wooseok. You have this presence that is so unlike any of your members or any musician I’ve ever seen before. My first time coming across Pentagon was when I heard some of your songs for the first time. I didn’t even know what any of you looked like, but your voice alone made me want to keep coming back to it. Your voice is so strong and powerful and completely pierces through every Pentagon track with its uniqueness. You bring every Pentagon song to life with a voice that defines the nature of your music. There are so many layers and different characteristics that make up your voice and its range. It really gives character to your style and compliments the tone of the rest of the members. On one track, you’re rapping effortlessly and emotionally, and on another, you’re stealing the hearts of Universe with your soulful vocals. I can just tell that you have such a desire and connection to singing and rapping because we can feel what you feel through your own voice. It’s even more wondrous that you already have created your own music and are an expert in songwriting. I always think that writing lyrics is a difficult process, but when I really listen to your work it seems as if all that you do is completely pour your heart out in your composition. That’s the beauty of music, and you really know how to make a statement or speak to your audience using your own experiences. You were born to be on stage with a microphone in your hand to create magic, but you are an impressionable dancer all of the same. You really know how to make each second count and you dance with so much energy and enjoyment every time that you hit the stage. Not only do you have such accuracy and precision, but also incorporate a piece of you with every choreography that makes it performance memorable. You always do an unexpected action that stays in the hearts of Universe. I love that your dancing is so diverse and you never fail to try something new. No performance is like the last and you always strive for excellence. To bring happiness and hard work together is a gift and it is so clear that being an idol is your calling. I know you are very creative and specific about your lyrics, and I wanted to comment on how poetic you are when it comes to creating them. Your voice is enchanting and elegant as hearing the music in a fairy tale. It is so wistful and it easy to get lost in the grace of it. It has such a magical and warming effect on every Pentagon song that I hear and gives them all so much life. You are so passionate about signing and a piece of your heart is incorporated into each line that you sing. All the while, your dancing is classy and charming. It is so evident how much effort you put into mastering your choreographies but when you’re on stage, it just looks like second nature to you. You place so much emphasis on each of your movements to make sure that your Universe can take in each one. You are very articulate and expressive as well. Your facial expressions completely guide your dancing as well and you are incredibly skilled with infusing your emotion into your body movements. It is sincerely a gift getting to watch you waltz across the stage with undeniable precision and self-expression all wove together into one. In all, you are one of the most creative artists that I’ve known, You really have such a way with words and that has had such a grand impact on music today. There is nobody who could replicate your sound or the different perspective that you have on music. I can’t thank you enough for pursuing the musical side of yourself and opening that up for the world to indulge in and learn from.
