  1. Despite Erza not having known Irene .. It must have been painful seeing her only biological family die before her eyes. Because she was still loved so much by her. Wonderful ending for an amazing character.

  2. in japanese aishite is a very very very strong word that a couple uses maybe 2 times a year or less. Irene using this strong word and saying she loved erza hit me hard.

  3. so sad it is but irene is me nr 2 fav charakter and she not deserve it i am very sad about this ending but i hope she come back in the new manga and all will good with erza but the only point who fucks me hard is erza says the only family she have is the master , i hope in 100year quest there is a real happy end.

  4. She has the saddest back story her pain is unbearable she protectedherlovedonesintheendtheyall turned their back to her . August too being abandoned and growing up alone

  5. Everyone, Irene's not dead! She is currently in Wendy's body as a "Force ghost" in the 100 Years Quest arc (Sequel manga, only Wendy can see & hear her while NO one else can.

  6. As horrible as she was, I feel some pity for her. She was a good person once, and in spite of everything she said there was a part of her that just wanted to be the mother Erza deserved.

Unfortunately, that's another thing I disliked about the final story arc. One of the big themes throughout the series was that things like love, friendship, and loyalty not only had the power to defeat any enemy but to change and redeem. It kept serving as a contrast between the antagonists and protagonists and it's why so many of the antagonists ended up doing a heel-turn-face. Yet all the love, friendship, and loyalty in the world couldn't save or help the most tragic antagonists. In a way…I think that kind of cheapens the whole theme of the series.

  7. As much as i like the idea of Irene Belserion, to this day, she made me realize how horrible the story writing of fairy Tail is. An anime i used to like when i was young. There is absolutely no valid reason for her to perform suicide. After being hyped, had a good backstory, survived hundreds of years of suffering that made her defect to evil, then seeing Erza punched her meteor made her kill herself like that? What an absolute waste of a potentially interesting character, and fan hype. They do this all the time.

  8. I'd love to think that Erza probably felt nothing when Irene died even though she just witnessed her mother kill herself and I hope there's a scene in the manga where we see Erza visiting Irene's grave and releasing her tears there all alone without anyone to see her since I know the sight of losing a parent Infront of you is probably the most painful thing in the whole world that Erza probably felt like something was gone but didn't mind it, and I'd like to believe that she did cry when Irene died, she just didn't show it to the others because Natsu and Gray hate to see their big sister Erza cry since she's supposed to be the person they both look up to and get guidance from

    R.I.P Irene Belserion 🥲♥️

And I already know she's alive inside Wendy so it's fine
