세븐틴 내에서도 본인의 페이스를 가장 잘 조절하는 멤버 버논이다. 공연 중에는 적절한 선택과 집중을 통해 에너지를 쏟고, 공연 후에는 잠을 자기도, 자기계발을 하기도 한다.

공연이 끝난 밤. 그는 한국에서 가져온 녹음 장비를 이용해 랩 메이킹 연습을 한다. 가사와 라임을 맞춰보고, 멜로디를 붙여 점점 완성해 나간다. 세븐틴에 가장 걸맞은 멤버가 되기 위한 방법은 무엇일까를 늘 고민한다는 버논의 이야기를 들어본다.

Within SEVENTEEN, Vernon is a member who knows how to keep his pace. During a show, he portions his energy well, and after a show, he sleeps, or works on self-improvement.

The night after a show. Vernon practices rap making on his recording equipment he brought from Korea. He checks the lyrics and rhymes, and builds a melody to perfect the song. This is his story of constantly working to be a perfect member for the team SEVENTEEN.

  4. i was feeling agitated as i lay down on my bed. i couldn't think of anything but to find something that would calm me down, dont wanna sleep troubled until vernon's episode in hit the road gets in my mind and that's why im here. i find myself tearful the moment i open this playlist. it truly comforts me somehow. vernon's word resonates very well on this moment— "if you're on a rocky wave, just feel the breeze and let your body go with the flow. when the wind dies and the waves calm down, one day you'll be standing on the sea."

When Vernon talked about how there's inner thoughts he keeps to himself and doesn't share with the other members, but it doesn't mean he's deliberately trying to hide things, I completely understood where he was coming from. I actually think that's a really healthy approach because oversharing can be a problem. Maybe because I'm quite introspective too, but I do find that there's some things that can be dealt with alone without the need of sharing them, especially when they're so fleeting. As long as he has people he trusts and can confide in when he absolutely needs to, then I'd say Vernon has a really healthy approach to life. He definitely has his own way of expressing his affection and love to the people he feels comfortable around and I think that's beautiful. You keep doing you, Vernon!

  13. I really love how Vernon doesn't try to be someone on cam who he isn't. He is a very simple person who just likes to do things he love. He is actually expressive but he never exaggerates anything. If he finds something funny he laughs, if it's something he never tries to make it seem as if it isn't and I think this is something really rare in idols. When he entered the cassette shop his eyes were filled with happiness and it really showed how much he loves music. I think as a rapper and musician he is underrated. He really understands music and feels it and I hope we appreciate him more for this. Vernon-ah please live your life to the fullest like how you do and I hope if you ever feel stress or negativity you always remember to show it.

  15. Tho this ain't my first time watching this, i still shed a tear cuz i'm going through a hard phase in my life wherein i feel so lost, hopeless and apathetic. Vernon, is one amazing human being, i adore him to bits. Thx to this video and vernon for knocking some sense into me. The quote at the end really touched me maybe cuz ik how it feels since i'm going through it now. I will try my best to work hard and create a better future for myself, so that i can come here and feel proud of myself later.
    I'd like to end this by saying "Vernon, never stop being you!" I hope to have a mindset like yours someday, ur my rolemodel…Love u forever!

  28. Vernon is unique, he really is. Man is really like completely different from many people or at least, from me. Watching this really makes me feel like I’m watching something new. Maybe because I’ve never met or bumped into and not even seen a person like him. And that being said, I basically found another amazing side of vernon.
