Ailee has more weight in her voice and also her mix/belt are way too chesty. While Hyorin has this girly light voice and her mix is more balance.
Before Hyorin's regression, there's no much gap between them (maybe Hyorin only lack on her head voice at that time). As far as I remember Hyorin prime supported range F#3/G3-E5/F5 (with few supported F#5), but now is more like F#3/G3-D5. While Ailee more or less like G3/G#3-E5/F5~Bb5.

No need of comparisons if it's vocal technique or vocal range or lung breath capacity always it is favorable for Ailee ….if you had noticed she just smiles at thea audience and serving the Godly vocals without so much strain and so much love for hyolyn too she's very talented …..but next to Ailee's lung capacity is hyolyn but with technique it's still unknown cuz Ailee showed so many colors on many stage still showing her different sides but hyolyn need to show more so no more comparing just enjoy there stages

they've got different tones, i think that adds to it as well. it's easier for Hyolyn's high notes to sound "shouty" & "tight" because she had a very forward, nasal tone. both are great, talented vocalists, but Ailee makes it look easy.
