  10. Dude, seriously, I'm not even a fan of Le Sserafim but this is easily an 11/10 for me. It's high up there in the covers of this song, alongside Kobasolo's cover (ft Soyeon and Yujeong of LABOUM). I'm in love with her emotional sincerity in singing this, not to mention that this closely sounded like Utada's original version. She even looks like someone's memory of a first love.

    Everything about this is perfect. Their fandom is absolutely blessed to have her.

    EDIT: You know what I also noticed compared to the other covers? The youthfulness and innocence of her voice gives this magical vibes that puts you into the perspective, not of Chaewon singing about her first love, but from the perspective of that first love him or herself, as if he or she is reminiscing her in how she looked like all those years ago. It may not be the most emotionally intense cover, but it is certainly the most nostalgic sounding cover so far.

  11. How??? How??? How does this woman exist? You cannot be this adorable and talented and still be considered human! I mean. Yes we've heard her cover this before at the IZ*ONE Japan fan meet back in 2019. She's improved so much since then, and that live was extraordinary!!! Then there is the video! The production crew need a damned best picture award simply for how heart warming it is. This was too good! I thought I had a good idea of best releases for this year. Then she gonna drop this and make me rethink LIFE choices!

    Edit: Oh yeah! I’m also jealous of the camera person! They got to spend the entire shoot pretending to be Chaewon’s partner? Fan ??Friend??? Significant other????? Either way. I both love and hate them for it. 😂

  12. Purity of the first love is well expressed along with her appearance and voice. She is definitely a high school sweetheaet that all men have dreamed of. I love it.

  15. Chaewon does an admirable rendition of this song, but if you go back and listen to the original version you can understand what makes Utada Hikaru's vocals so unique. Even if you have never heard this song before or cannot appreciate Utada Hikaru's fusion of American pop and classical Enka vocals, the music we listen to has been influenced by changes in the music industry that the success of the First Love album created. I lived through Japan's Utada mania of 1999 so this song will be bouncing inside my head for at least a week.

  18. Shes so good, so talented,all rounder.. i thot i wud never admire a GG member after BP. But this girl got me.. she's like Bang Yedam, her voice fits all genre..Love her(apologies for mentioning other idols)☺️
